Pick an industry — any industry; disruption is likely redefining workflows and industry best practices while also creating anxiety and confusion among those people whose livelihoods depend on it.
The cartoon below, drawn as a promotional poster for a make-believe band's live tour, is a commentary of sorts on the rise of AI-generated music.
We now have AI-generated bands producing AI-generated music (just fire up Spotify and embrace the algorithm). Around the corner? Perhaps holographic shows of AI-generated bands "performing" AI-generated music, complete with merch sales promoting said AI-generated bands.
In this cartoon, I’ve infused an old-fashioned, analog promotional staple with a forecast for the not-too-distant future of live music.
