Sketchbook Dump #1
Watercolor drawings of a teddy bear, a house in the woods, a sad-looking electric guitar, and more
Welcome back to The Little Island🏝️, a clod of dirt in an imaginary ocean where I go to write songs, draw, and dream up wacky tales for my kids’ bedtime stories.
The Little Island Substack has been quiet for several months, but behind the scenes I have been laying the groundwork for some new music, storytelling, and drawing projects.
I will share more about these projects in the coming weeks, but for now here is the first post in a new (occasional) series featuring scanned watercolor drawings from my sketchbook.
This initial “sketchbook dump” loosely adheres a domestic theme — there’s a teddy bear, a fishbowl, a sad-looking (shall we say “vintage”?) electric guitar, a gray cat, and a miniature landscape of a house on a wooded mountain.
My hope is that these imperfect, hand-crafted artifacts will brighten your day in some small way.
